Frequently Asked Questions
What shall we wear for our rehearsals?
So that you are prepared as can be for your First Dance, it is important that you wear your wedding shoes. Getting comfortable dancing in the actual shoes you’ll be wearing on the day takes a little practice, if they’re not shoes you’ve danced in before!*
How long is a session?
A session is one hour long.
What style of dance do you offer?
Everything and anything! From ballet and jazz, to Ballroom and Latin, to Contemporary, we are able to teach and choreograph routines of all dance styles. You can have a fusion of styles, too! This is all decided at your complimentary consultation.
What if I need to rearrange a rehearsal?
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. You are more than welcome to re-arrange a rehearsal as long as you have given sufficient notice. Payment for a rehearsal missed by the client will still be required if a cancellation is made within the 48 hour period before the start time of the rehearsal.
What if I want to cancel?
In the event that you wish you cancel your First Dance package, please note that the deposit taken at your consultation is strictly non-refundable. No refunds are given once payment for rehearsals has been made.
Can I rehearse at home and will I need to pay travel expenses for the Choreographer?
Absolutely! As long as you have enough space somewhere in your home to accommodate 3 people dancing, this is no problem at all. A spacious living/dining room, conservatory or empty spare room will be just fine. You will be required to pay the travel expenses for the Choreographer - this will be added to the cost of your Package at your consultation.
Do I need to have dance experience?
Previous dance experience is not a requirement. It doesn’t matter if you have never set foot on a dance floor before! Our choreographer is here to work with you personally to create a routine that suits you both and that makes you feel comfortable and confident ahead of the big day.
Do I need to cut my own music?
Ever After can professionally cut your music track for no extra charge.
*If your wedding dress has a big skirt, or is very fitted, wearing something in the same cut will help you to get used to how much you can move. For example - if you are wearing a hoop under your dress, it would be a great idea to bring that to rehearse in over some comfier clothes. It is also just as handy to get used to dancing in a suit and smart shoes! This will also help our Choreographer to work out the best dance moves to use in your routine.
